Janay Boucan
Janay Boucan, 30, is the co-owner of Double Scoop Ice Cream in Stonecrest (formerly known as Lithonia), Georgia and a Realtor ®️. Janay Boucan served as a “scooper” and cashier at this same location at age 16, when it was Bruster’s Ice Cream and she loved every minute of it! She was known for making the best banana splits with a smile and she loved taking care of customers. After graduating from Georgia State University and the University of Georgia, she pursued a career in social work, student affairs, and real estate. She purchased investment properties and provided affordable housing for college students, but wanted to do more for her community. She is also the author of “How to Live Mortgage and Rent Free: Through College & Beyond!” Janay is excited to bring back delicious ice cream products and exceptional customer service to the City of Stonecrest.
Evonne Bazemore
Evonne Bazemore, 27, is the co-owner of Double Scoop Ice Cream and she also started as a “scooper” and cashier at Bruster’s Ice Cream at age 15. By age 17, she was promoted to Crew Leader and worked the closing shift every weekend. In 2015, Evonne graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Managerial Sciences with a focus in Human Resources. Evonne’s love and passion for saving and investing allowed her to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. Evonne is excited to bring back delicious ice cream products and exceptional customer service to her hometown.
